Your Pulse Check reading
Stretched Shepherds
Are your leaders running on empty with no one checking on them?
Your leaders are faithful, but the people caring for them are spread thin. We ask a lot of our leaders, and sometimes we forget to check on them. Your groups can only be as healthy as the people leading them.
Caring for your leaders isn't about sending more emails. It's about real people checking on real people.
Try one of these this week
Check in on your leader list.
Write down every leader, who's caring for them, when they last had a real conversation, and how they seem to be doing: green, yellow or red.
Reach out to three leaders this week.
Start with the three you haven't talked with in the longest: "Hey [Name], I was thinking about you and wanted to touch base and see how you're doing. How can I be praying for you this week?"
See who is caring for whom.
One coach can really care for about three to five leaders. Mark anyone who has too many, and any leader who has no one.
Picture leaders who feel seen, supported and ready to keep going.
