Are you always short on leaders, no matter how many announcements you make?
Every season, it's the same announcement: we need more leaders. It's usually not that people don't want to help. It's that there's no clear path to get there.
Announcements find volunteers. Leaders are grown, one person and one conversation at a time.
Try one of these this week
Think about your last ten leaders.
How did each one get started? From an announcement, a personal ask, or by helping out first?
Have every leader ask one person this season.
"I've noticed how you [make new people feel welcome]. I think God might be growing something in you. Would you be willing to [lead prayer] next month?"
Create one in-between step.
Give people a way to try it out before leading a group on their own, like opening their home, serving as a Co-Leader or helping a leader.
Picture starting next season with new leaders already ready to step in.
